I went for a walk in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. The Arkansas River runs along the downtown. It was just about sunset, but the heat in the air had not cooled. I wandered down to a beautiful paved river walk, among trees and flower plantings. I came to the Junction Bridge, one of several bridges associated with the Little Rock skyline. The Junction Bridge is strictly a pedestrian bridge now. I walked up several flights of stairs to a lovely view overlooking the river. "Love locks", padlocks left as symbols of love by pedestrians cover both sides of the railings along the length of the bridge.
