“Can’t See The Person for The Labels”, Digital Art, 2017.
She’s a strange bird. A mother, sister, daughter, loser, weirdo and all the things those names and labels imply (and more). Labels, names, and roles are written on her body and float in and through the space around her. She sits perched on display under the curious eyes of the viewer, holding a mask over her face because she knows that she can’t really be seen through it all. The mask itself represents a crow, renowned for its cleverness, and more than capable of flight beyond the trees to see the total of the forest.
